The 26-year-old started only two matches at Premier League this season, marking once.
He has not appeared in either of Ralph Ranngnick's matches at the helm so far, with the German saying Martial suffered a small blow at the exercise last week.
“Anthony wants to leave the club in January”, his agent Philip Lambley told Sky Sports.
He just needs to play. He doesn't want to stay in January and I'll talk to the club soon”, Limboley told.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Norwich, Rannick was asked about his plans to transfer for the passing January deadline.
“We need to make sure that players want to stay here”, he said. “If players are not taking enough time to play, it might make sense to speak individually. The debt can make sense for some”, Rannick said.
