Bruno Fernandes explained why he allowed Cristian Ronaldo to throw the penalty that proved to be Manchester United's winning goal against Arsenal.
Ronaldo's second goal came from a white spot where Fernande's penalty duty was handed over to his fellow worker and fellow Ronaldo.
Fernandes says that he was happy to leave his responsibility to Ronaldo after losing his last penalty in losing 1:0 against Aston Willlas on September 25th.
We didn't talk. I lost my last penalty so I trust him the same way I trust myself. It was time for Ronaldo to hit the penalty because the last one I had shot and I didn't make it a point. But it's not important who throws the penalty”, Fernandes said.
Ronaldo passed 800 career goals last night with his second goal against Arsenal, where he now recorded 12 goals in 16 presentations in all Manchester United events.
