The World Cup every two years would generate more than 3.3 billion additional pounds of revenue during a four-year cycle, it has been told delegates at the FIFA global summit.
FIFA has proposed the change as part of a renovated calendar, Report Express broadcast.
The 211 member associations were invited to the summit as the debate on Arsene Wenger's plan to make the World Cup every two years intensifys.
U n EFA, Europe's major leagues and South American football director body, Conmembol, have rejected the plans.
At the meeting it said FIFA estimates, on average, each of the national associations will share about 12.1 million pounds in additional funds, though the exact method of distribution was not clarified.
