Croatian Defence Minister: Supporting Kosovo's membership in Euro-Atlantic institutions

We crown this friendship today with the signing of a co-operation agreement between our two ministries for protection and security. With this step of co-operation and opens up narrower opportunities in education, training of military personnel, developing joint exercises, opportunities for co-operation in international operations and missions, enhanced co-operation in the field of defence industry, and also in other areas. As defence minister from the beginning I have stressed that partnership with the Republic of Croatia is very important for us because Croatia is a NATO member, but it has experience over 11 years in NATO and we as the Republic of Kosovo have the same aspirations, the same goals, but we share the same values”, Mehe said.
Banozic, who has been hosted with ceremonies at the defence ministry's facilities in Kosovo, has said Croatia will continue to provide co-operation in the field of training and schooling.
According to him, signing the memorandum empowers co-operation between the two countries.
“We support Kosovo's membership in different Euro-Atlantic institutions, we also support the process of transforming KSF into Armed Forces, and this is part of the memorandum of co-operation, and we provide training in the field of training and schooling and we will continue to do so. Our co-operation also continues with our contribution within KFOR, with the presence of Croatian officers so that life here is safer and stable. I want to continue to have our co-operation and become the exchange of knowledge and experience between our forces”, the Croatian minister has said.
Banozic, among other things, has expressed thanks to Kosovo for as he has said, dealing with members of the Croatian community in Janjevo, for what he has said is one of the friendship indicators between the two countries.
