Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola spoke to reporters at the press conference prior to the match against Leicester City on Sunday.
The Spanish coach had no way to escape questions about Ferran Torres, confirming that he is near “to become FC Barcelona football player, until he added that “but they have not yet told me it is official”.
The Spanish coach was asked if he was unhappy with his departure, for which he replied: “Ferran is from Spain, Barcelona looks for him, he said he wants to go and I told him he could leave. I called Txikin, his agent has to reach an agreement and leave. I want players to be happy”.
It now seems all done, Torres will be Xavi's first purchase as soon as the passing deadline of January opens.
