The test has been given to 600 thousand 15-year-olds in 79 different states, including Kosovo.
Its goal is to measure education systems in different parts of the world, and among different socioeconomic conditions, reports BTH, Periscopi conveys.
The results showed that students from four provinces in China, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zheijang had taken four to three categories mentioned.
On the other hand, students from the United States received level 3 in reading and science, and only 2 in mathematics.
OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria has said that student performance envisioned the country's economic potential as well.
However, many other developed countries have failed to improve the quality of education in the past two decades.
