Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani during his stay in Washington has met with US Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland.
As the presidency reports, the two countries' continued commitment to this strong partnership was reaffirmed at the meeting, as well as a steadfast commitment to common values.
Osmani said Kosovo is among the most democratic countries in the world, a real source of hope in the region and beyond, as well as a true US foreign policy success story. She said Kosovo is an image of American values.
During the meeting, Nuland expressed its deep appreciation for Osman for Kosovo's instrumental role in providing temporary housing for Afghan refugees and said it is also a show of Kosovo's commitment to this long friendship and partnership. Nuland stressed that the new administration is committed to peace, stability and development in Kosovo and the entire region, as well as to supporting the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Osmani, meanwhile, said Kosovo has no greater allies than the US and reaffirmed commitment to the values that unite our two strong countries and also stressed the commitment of institutions to strengthening the rule of law and strengthening the economic perspective for the people of Kosovo.
