Dutch pilot Max Verstappen with Red Bull has reached two second seats in the last two Forum 1 events in Brazil and Qatar and already has only 8 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton (Merscedes), which has triumphed on these two tracks.
The last race has been difficult for the Dutch pilot, who hours before its launch received a penalty of five positions.
I knew that penalty would come, because I've never received gifts from the track commissioners. I don't even expect gifts from anyone because the title is won on the runway. Anyway, we tried to limit the damage and I believe we did it after we got second place and I'm still the first. Lewis couldn't get into that race, because there was a lot of”, Verstappen said.
The next race will take place on the city track in Jeda, Saudi Arabia, where it first competes.
Verstappen has the chance to announce world champion from there if the difference in point with the British will be over 25 points after this race.
“I don't believe it will close there, as there are still too many points in the game and no one will easily give up”, Red Bull's pilot added. /Periscopi/
