The party of Goran Rakiqi, who is also minister for Kthim and Community in the Kurti Government, said the prime minister showed his true “ ”, demanding that the European Union react.
“The same Albin Kurti who spoke against the Association of Serbian municipalities as “monoethnic community” is now talking about Greater Albania, which would be nothing more than a monoethnic creation. Are these European values calling on the highest representatives of Kosovo to create Greater Albania? We wonder what else needs to happen for the European Union, but even the prominent Western European countries, to react to such anti-European statements that directly endanger the peace and tranquillity of citizens”, a statement issued by the Serbian List said.
This party said it strongly condemns Kurt's statements, which it called irrational, and said “causes the sense of uncertainty in citizens”.
Kurti, told “Monocle” that he would vote pro in a referendum on Kosovo joining Albania. However, he reiterated that the referendum would have to be done peacefully and democraticly.
In the future, if it were presented as a democratic referendum peacefully I would vote for, but I repeat again, only if it was done peacefully and democraticly”, Kurti said.
