According to foreign media, the mobile phone museum includes photos with high resolution and stories of many of the phones in its catalog.
The museum began as a personal collection initiated by Wood more than 25 years ago and has now increased to more than 2,100 mobile phones.
To mark the beginning, a special one-day exhibition has been held in London, with students from a local elementary school visiting him to experience a performance and story with Wood and the museum's educational team on cell phone history and its importance.
The museum reportedly signed with mobile operator Vodafone as a five-year sponsor.
“It is a privilege to be able to recognize and celebrate the equipment and people who have made such an important contribution to the world, as we preserve that story and make it available to all by opening today the Ibrahimx1> Mobile Phone Museum, he was quoted as saying.
