Official: Taulant Jaka retires from Albanian National

Albanian National and Basel midfielder Taulant Jaka has been formalising his retirement by Reddiggers.

The news has personally been delivered by the midfielder through an open letter, revealing the emotions he has experienced with Albania's red flag and representation, while stressing that numerous injuries have forced him to bid farewell to the national.

Honored fans, football players, friendly football, honored National, pride of my blood. The day I was clothed with red has been, and my most beautiful memory of life remains. I was, and I'm so proud to be able to wear red. It was a dream for the entire family X HAKA, which has already come true.

We will always be proud and grateful. Words cannot describe the emotions and pleasant moments I have spent in the Gulf of the National Red. Unforgettable will remain the qualifications we came together in Europe! Above all, the enthusiasm and pride of representing the red national is a struggle to show love for your country of origin.

Like me and my brother Graniti, we grew up with our homeland love for Albania and Kosovo. My whole family raised us like me, and my father and Granity with the red flag in my heart, with special respect and pride for our country. The beginnings are always beautiful and nobody thinks how fast the years go and the staff must be handed over to the younger generation because of the many injuries that still haunt me.

That's why and many other private reasons, I've decided to bid farewell from the national red as her player, but hearty I'll be next to you at any moment to the last breath.

I'll be here forever. CESI. Believe me, this decision is among the most difficult and exciting of my life. It has not been easy for me to make such a decision, because I have felt very good and proud near the nationals.

I've been supported a lot by the staff of the F.S.F., by my fellow players, and by wonderful red fans. But, under the circumstances and circumstances that I am, I thought it was best to give the younger generation the opportunity to affirm that the future of our common national.

I want to warmly thank the trainers I worked with, the players, the FSHF President, Armand Duka, and all the football lovers for all the support they gave me during my engagement in the Red Bay. A special and special thanks goes to the red fans, they're the 12th player and they've supported us at any time and moment.

The 30-year-old mid-fielder has debuted with red-flonds in 2014 and has since worn Albania's fans for 31 matches, being part of the group that wrote the history with the first qualifications in the final phase of the European 2016.
