The legend Unger is returning to Arsenal, confirms Michael Arteta.

Michael Arteta has held talks with Arsene Wenger about his return to Arsenal.

Arsenal Arteta's coach has never concealed the desire to have Wenge at the club and recently put a large picture of him at the entrance of the club's training centre.

Arteta found out he talked to the legendary top coach about his return to Emirates for the first time since his departure in 2018.

Asked if Unger was made any formal offer to return, Arteta said: “we talked”.

I met him and talked to him when we went to see the movie. And the conversation with him was very pleasant, and we hope that we will have it close to”, Arteta related.

What role would Wenger return to?

Arteta did not want to show what role the Frenchman would return to Arsenal, but stressed that he would benefit greatly from the 72-year-old.

I can't tell you now”, Arteta said.

What I can say on my part is that we would be very happy to have it near”, he added.
