Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has again talked about the refusal he made to the “Open Balkan” initiative, which found support from Albania, Northern Macedonia and Serbia.
Kurti in an interview for Zagreb's “Vecernji List” has said that the “Open Balkans” can only be had after Serbia opens with Kosovo.
“How can the Balkans open when Serbia closes for Kosovo. He does not accept our passport, identification documents, diplomas, certificates or stamps of Kosovo, the Balkans may be open after Serbia opens with Kosovo”.
Kurti, among other things, stated that the “Open Balkans” remains so only for corruption, war criminals and is contrary to the European values of democracy.
“Open Balkans” is more like the “Open Balkans” to influences from the east, especially those from the Russian. Federation and China, as well as open to corruption, war criminals, contrary to European values of democracy and the rule of law. We should be open to the European Union, not open to the Russian Federation and China”, Kurti said.
