Such is the young man from Mitrovica, Granit Rushiti, selected to carry out a special mission ʹ the portrayal of football player Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in autobiographic film “Am Zlatan” in honor of his life and activity, whose premiere will soon be.

In an exclusive interview for Telegrafi, Rushiti tells more detail how it came to their co-operation, meeting with the veteran attacker, and also about the feelings of being Ibrahimovic.

At the end of June, it has been published "Trainer" of the film on the life of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, “Am Zlatan”, and it was understood that the main protagonists are Albanians, how did it get to co-operation?

I was in Portugal when they called me, when they wrote me, it means. I've been practicing soccer, then I've returned the message and we'll see, I said try and see what it is. I went for a test, I did it once. At first, I didn't take it seriously at all, I said I was playing soccer. I don't think I'm going to be an actor. I was called back, the third time I was told to meet with the director, one time I told him I wouldn't come back and I had a knee injury, and that mom said I couldn't do anything better and better to do, maybe I could do acting.

How did the invitation to portray such a large footballer seem difficult to do?

It's been hard since I never thought about acting, after a month I realized that I'm doing good, because I learned a lot of things. I've also learned Zlatan's voice about how he talks. After all this, it seemed easier.

You're a football player, did you have a soft-ass actor's debut since this was the first time you've ever been in a movie?

It's been hard, but not as hard as I thought. I may have had a talent that I didn't know, but it's quite another life that they work for and what football players are like, but I learned it very quickly. It's easier now.

What's in the whole movie, would you isolate any part of which you play?

It tells a lot about his life, not just about football, what goals he did on the field, but also outside football, what he did at home, outside when he was with friends. There's a lot of parts out of football. I liked the scenes that were off the football. I had my knee killed in football, and I didn't even know how I ended up, it was hard. I found the acting more interesting. Films were made in Amsterdam and Malmo.

Is Ibrahimovic also your favorite player, or is he just in the role?

I love it. When I was a kid I always thought about doing things, I wanted to do like him. My father even told me sometimes I would lock myself in the room just to watch the videos he did so that I could do the same things. I love Zlatan. And he's big here in Malmo, because he's the first to come from another country and he's become the most successful and he's opened the door to everyone.

You've met with Zlata personally, have you talked about the movie? What were his impressions?

We talked about everything, but he told me very interesting how he's doing his voice like me; once he told the director why he put his voice in mine, didn't think I did it, and then we started laughing. He said he was very happy with the movie.

What are your expectations for the movie, since Swedish football player counts many fans around the world?

I think it'll be well received. When we were at the festival in Rome, everyone woke up and applauded. These things I didn't understand at first, until I saw the producer's directors hug each other. I have received many messages from Italy, I think there will be a very good outcome.

Who's really Granit Rushiti out of the movie? What do you do for a day?

Right now I'm working at Call Center, we're writing a movie with me and some friends. Now we send him to the producers, see if they're gonna take him or not. We'll also open an institution for youth, for those who make problems to gather all of us to do different activities in the cities.

What are your plans for the future, you see yourself in some other movie?

I believe that with what I have achieved, I will have more offers in the future. I believe it will continue.

Your message to all the readers of the Telegraph portal?

We need to think about ourselves, work harder at what we do, and trust ourselves. You never know life. One day you're wrong, the other one might be fine!
