Nationals of Kosovo, Albania in veterans' competitiveness have celebrated 28 November with a brotherly match in the city of Durres. Thus, Flag Day, the 109th anniversary of Albania's independence, the birthday of the Legendary Commander, Adem Jashari and the first public appearance of the KLA this time were honoured with the veterans' match, on one side of the Redisans, who in various ages contributed to the Albanian National and on the other side of the Dardans, many of whom are singled out as the generation of resistance to the Serbian occupant.
Attending this grand event were the two presidents of federations, Agim Ademi and Armand Duka, as well as a considerable number of football lovers and prominent names of nationwide sports. The fair-time match closed with figures 1:1, until more accurate penalty shootings showed Kosovo football veterans who triumphed 11:10. The match donated excitement and entertainment to the playing field, as festive moments were always present. Albania advanced with Memelli's goal in the 9th minute, until the figures equalled Izmacu in the 50th minute. Finally, President Duka and President Ademi handed the trophy to Kosovo's national veterans' team, which this time took up the symbolic name “Cup November 28th”. The presidents of both federations were declared after the end of this activity.
President Adam thanked F. The SHF for this co-operation and also congratulated the entire sports community on November 28th. Not by chance today Albania and Kosovo play these colors, Albania in red, and Kosovo in black, both making national flag colors. As always we will wish this holiday, especially we from Kosovo are very fond of it. The flag to us is very significant in keeping us alive and keeping us from assimilation in earlier years when we have been in the depression of many peoples and other countries. At the invitation of FSHF and President Duke, we are here to celebrate this holiday.
I wish this holiday would continue and continue as President Duka told all Albanians and the best teams in the best possible format. I wish all the footballers in this case and all Albanians the Flag Festival and I very much hope that on a day not far away, this flag and this holiday will be all over the country and Albanian soil“, Ademi said.
Meanwhile, President Duka congratulated all Albanians on the occasion of the November 28th holiday, while praising this fine tradition between the two federations. I would like to congratulate everyone on the most important day in Albania's entire history, November 28th.
These matches have become tradition between the two sports communities. I'd love that. 28 November found us with even greater activity on a promised Cup among all Albanian lands, but it is known that because of the pandemic, the large project launched for a nationwide team failed to be finalised and I wish this day to come and have more organisation of football players and more participation by all Albanians on all lands. Once again, I mostly congratulate the football sports community and all Albanians, happy November 28th party”, Duka said. After the two teams' holiday match went on to a grand lunch that the president of the FSHF, Armando Duka, laid on his shipyard “Cantina Duka”.
