Last night it was reported that offices of Juventus' team were raided, under an investigation into money abuse and fraud in the area of transfers.
President Andrea Agnelli is under investigation for false accounting, as well as other current directors and former club directors, including the Pavel Nedved icon.
In this regard, Juventus has announced that they are currently under investigation, and have indicated they will co-operate with competent organs.
“Juventus Football Club SpA (“Juventus” or “Kompania”) acknowledges that the Turin Court's Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated investigations against the Company and some of its current officers (Andrea Agnelli, Pavel Nedved and Stefano Cerrato) and former officials concerning the “revenues from the registration rights of players<”, said in the Juvents statement.
“The company is co-operating with investigators and “COSOB” and believes it will explain every aspect of it with interest after it believes it has acted in accordance with the laws and regulations that regulate the preparation of financial reports, in line with accounting principles and in line with international practice in the football industry and market conditions”, has been said among other things in the Juventus communiqué.
Juvenus is being investigated for 282m euros in questionable capital gains over the past three years.
The transfers being investigated are the Arthur-Pianic exchange with Barcelona, but also the transfer of Joao Cancelo. /Periscopi/
