At 79 years of age, Frank Williams, the man who founded the famous Formate 1 Williams Racing race machine, who still participates in the race today. He held the title Sir for the results and fame of the British car over the years.
Frank Williams, in 1986, lived in a wheelchair after a car accident. In 1977 he founded Williams, and until 2021 he was part of its administrative council. The assignment he then delegated to his daughter Claire. In September 2020, Williams ' car changed ownership.
Under its direction, the Williams team has won nine championships, the last in 1997 with Jacques Villeneve (also pilot champion that season). While seven pilots have been declared world champions in Forum 1 as they piloted British cars.
It is with great sadness that on behalf of the Williams family, the Team can confirm the death of Sir Frank Williams CBE, Fournder and Former Temple of Williams Racing at the age of 79.
