Drenica coach Lushtaku: Club in deep crisis, boycott of exercises and matches could follow

Drenica coach Tahir Lushtaku has contributed via a Facebook post about the current situation of the Drenica club.

According to Lushtaku, the club remains in a serious financial situation, spending two months not paying off obligations to players and staff.

Lushtaku has sought moral and financial support from donors, businesses and municipalities in order to assist the club up to the goals they have for this season, otherwise warning that the situation may go down to boycott training by footballers.

Tahir Lushtak's full response without interference:

“Reaction to the latest situation created in the club! I, as KF Drenica coach, regret that I have to plead about all the trouble created in the club. The club is going through a deep financial crisis, without support from anyone. I'm reacting, with the intention of not coming to a boycott of training and games by footballers who have expressed these concerns to me these last days.

Taking into account how we've reached the team's construction, and with a solid group of football players we have, with a poor fund of football players, and with a very small budget that doesn't continue to meet even this small budget, we've managed to have the results and successes that for a decade have not been achieved before, where during these 12 laps, we've always been listed in the top three positions, in the rankings. So I express my anger and say: Donors and businessmans, to fans we did not have the right support from them, as well as from the typhogroup, Zezaʹ Albanian (supported by only a small number). Maybe we've had enough support from donors, businesses and the town of Scytheright itself. And the question is, why isn't the club supporting and helping, on the financial side and in the organisational side, but we have only moral support, on social networks, mostly only on the official side of the club, with comments, as well as on the external opinions presented and on some known media in the country.

And we, we didn't, even though we had quite a good performance, numbered successes and results that, we always wanted to have, which we've achieved with sweat and commitment, working, as a professional, technical staff, along with football players, without saving anything from ourselves right now. There are now two months that have not been paid off to players and staff, as well as other obligations, that need the team to function and the support it needs for the team to continue the championship, to achieve the targets, because we are on the right track so that with these results we can think higher, and for a specific goal by the end of the championship.

I think the club needs help and moral and financial support from Donators, Business, Communists and fans of our city, and needs a real, long-term organisation, with a concrete plan, by people, that should be part of the club's leadership. And once we have to join all forces with a healthy goal, to organize the club in the best possible way, including all indiscriminately. I thank the current leadership that has done the best they can to fulfill all the obligations that the club has, but they failed, due to financial difficulties.
