Antonio Cote was appointed Tottenhami coach Tuesday to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.
Cite signed an 18-month agreement with Tottenham by June 2023, but with the possibility of continuing.
Cote, who first met his new team this morning, returns to Premierliga three years after he achieved his glory with Chelsea, winning Premierliga and FA Cup.
Speaking after Tottenham's coach was named, Cite said: “I am extremely happy that I am returning to the coach's work, and it will be done in Great Britain and in a Premierliga club that has ambition to become a protagonist again. ”
He added: “I can hardly expect to begin conveying passion, mentality and dedication to the team and fans, who have always distinguished me as a player and coach. ”
Cote rejected the first opportunity to take over the club from northern London in summer after leaving Inter.
But he says he had done so because of his association with zigkarter, who led to the winning of Serie A last season, the first league title in a decade.
The past “Our union didn't happen because the end of my relationship with Inter was still fresh and being too emotionally involved with the end of the season I felt it wasn't the right time to go back to coachial work”, Cite stressed.
Tonight will lead the team to the exercise this afternoon, and its first match at the Tottenham bench will be against Vitteses on Thursday in Europe Conference League.
