Deontay Wilder has been hit with a six-month medical suspension after his knockout loss by Tyson Fury in Las Vegas, another big blow in the boxer's career.
The American was unable to avenge “King Gypsy” for his loss in their second match after Fury knocked him down three times in their trilogical struggle.
Wilder was immediately taken to a hospital in Nevada to be controlled after the crash and he will now undergo surgery in his broken hand when he returns to his state in Alabama.
As a result of his injuries, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has advised him to suspend matches until April 8th, which means he cannot return to the ring by that date unless granted permission by a doctor in advance.
Wilder has also broken his finger and ankle, writes the DailyMail, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
Their fight Saturday was one of the best in the last years with Wilder bringing down Fury twice in the fourth round, but notaustating from Fury to the eighth round prompted the referral to interrupt the match.
