Kosovo definitely does not participate in this organisation, due to the failure of Serbian authorities to allow athletes to enter Serbia's territory with state symbols.
However, although the Federation of Boxes of Albania has warned that it will withdraw from the race because of Kosovo, this has not happened, as a result of the pressures made by the Albanian Government and the International Box Federation (AIBA).
“We are told that in the event of non-participation, we will be sanctioned by ten years of non-participation in any other international AIBA activity”, the captain of the Albanian Box Federation team Nelson Hysa told Radio Free Europe.
He added that during the official opening of the championship, the moment of the parade of athletes from Albania with the state flag has been conveyed with whistles and shootings of various items.
We are without our will, we have constant pressure. When I went out on Albania's flag, there were cheering, whistling, shooting. Last night, Serbia's police stayed at the hotel because of our security”, Hysa said.

Otherwise, Serbian border authorities, during the weekend, have for three times banned access to Serbia, the Kosovo representative's delegation in boxing, because Serbia does not recognise the state of Kosovo, respectively.
Besim Brahimi, president of the Kosovo Box Federation, told Free Europe Radio on Monday that they will no longer try to participate in this championship. According to the agenda, Kosovo boxers on Monday, on 25 October have had to begin the race.
It's all over. We're not trying anymore. At the border point, we have been told that it is the order of the Government of Serbia that prevents us from participating in state symbols in fans. Without symbols we do not accept”, Brahim told Radio Free Europe.
