Swiss Albanians react to Swiss newspaper in Shaqiri case

Last Saturday, after Switzerland's match against Ireland in Geneva, a person has thrown a jacket marked by the KLA to Gerdan Shaqiri. Shaqiri, as seen in the shooting, has calmly received this gesture and has discreetly refused his jacket. After that, different Swiss media [...]
After that, various Swiss media have commented on the case, calling it the KLA <x0-terrorism”. Regarding this quality, against the newspaper “Blic” has also reacted to the Swiss Albanian Parliament.
Next, albinfo. It publishes this reaction.
The various <x0Medias in Switzerland reported on October 10th 2021 the reactions of Serbian media following the alleged KLA jacket scandal caused by an unknown person who had given it to Gerdan Shaqiri. Thus, now the same complaint by the Serbian media has been repeated for several years as soon as a player of Albanian origin shows connections with his roots.
The newspaper “Blic” tries to explain the background of the jacket and KLA history in an article. Its “The critical report” is based on the newspaper “Kurir” of Belgrade and on the insulted anger of this medium. First of all, it must be stressed that the Kurir newspaper is a spokeswoman for the Serbian regime, which is lit by Serbian nationalism.
The newspaper promotes racism and hatred against neighboring countries and peoples. The articles in the newspaper “Kurir” recently made Twitter a warning. We are surprised by the ease with which some media in Switzerland share hateful content from such a Serbian propaganda medium.
The article in the newspaper “Blic” claims that the KLA is considered by several countries as a terrorist organisation. But what are those places, it's not written.
The KLA was a liberation army that fought against Slobodan Milosevic's murderous regime and for the freedom of its people. Of course, this has nothing in common with terrorism. During NATO intervention against Serbia, The KLA was an ally of NATO.
NATO members are democratic countries in the West. These countries would certainly not have cooperated with a terrorist organization.
For Kosovo, last century has been marked by Serbian state oppression and terror against the Albanian population. This eventually led to the uprising and liberation of Kosovo Albanians.
In 1998 and 1999, Serbia reacted to the KLA's war on state terror, ethnic cleansing and mass murder against the Albanian civilian population. In this war, at least 10,812 civilian Albanians have been killed by police, military and Serb paramilitaries in Kosovo. Neither children, pregnant women, nor older ones have been spared.
According to W NHCR and O The SEU, over 860,000 Albanians in Kosovo, has been expelled from Serbian police,
Serbian army and paramilitaries. In addition, hundreds of thousands of others have moved within Kosovo. Over 20,000 women have been raped. The number of unreported cases is much higher.
Almost half of Kosovo's homes have either been severely damaged or completely destroyed. Even today, many parents, many children, many brothers and sisters do not know whether their daughters and sons, their mothers and fathers, their brothers and sisters are still alive or in which mass grave they are located in Serbia. There's still no trace of 1,643 missing.
Organisers, responsible ones, and even perpetrators were never called to account. On the contrary, they are protected by the Serbian state and hold political office. Condemned war criminals are hailed as national heroes and lecture at Serbian military academies. All these are facts that cannot be rejected. Instead, the aggressor constantly tries to portray himself as a victim.
Four-C graphs around a white cross have been placed in many burned and destroyed houses of Albanians in Kosovo, where they have been left as nationalist messages. Under that symbol, the Albanian population in Kosovo has been killed, violated, displaced and their belongings destroyed. This symbol has become a Serbian national symbol and part of the Serbian flag.
However, we do not become hysteria when we see this symbol in a soccer game or elsewhere. Meanwhile, it is their Serbs and media that fall into collective hysteria whenever they see the national symbol of Albanians, the two-headed eagle.
We are surprised that the newspaper “Blic” deals again here again with the issue of the two-headed eagle. This gesture ʹ hands shaped like a two-headed eagle symbolizes the two-headed eagle of the Albanian national flag, the symbol of Albanian identity, for Albanians worldwide.
The symbol is not directed against anyone, it is not offensive, and should not be perceived as disturbing on either side, paʹrclo albinfo.ch. On the contrary, “The two-headed bi-headed Albanian” is a gesture of joy, a form of greeting, an expression and a symbol of a part of Albanian identity for Secondo (second part of Albanians), not only in Switzerland, but worldwide.
Whether it's an attempt to problem or politicize this symbol, we perceive it as an attack on our identity, culture, and history.
Which is why some media continue to repeat this topic, it can't be understood whether you have the best will in the world.
If Blick publishes a supposed enlightening and enlightening article, he must be based on fact, well-searched, complete and based on verified sources”, it is said at the end of the response signed by Lurata Reci, head of the Albanian Assembly in Switzerland.
