The club wants to save as much of the footballers' enormous salaries as possible.
Demble requires a lot in the season and until today no deal has been reached to renew the contract that expires in the summer of 2022.
Demble was purchased for 145m euros in the summer of 2017, when Neymar was transferred to Paris Saint Germain for 222m euros.
It ranks second as the most expensive purchase in Barcelona's history, after Philippe Coutinhos 160m euros. To this day, Demble has been a waste to Barca, staying more in the infirmary than in the field and never helping the club when there is a need.
