The Australian Football Federation (FA) says it is committed to supporting Lisa De Vanna, Matilda's assailant, after she made accusations of sexual historical abuse. De Vanna claimed to have been sexually harassed and isolated in a number of cases during her wonderful international career, in an explosive interview with “The Daily Telegraph”.
The 36-year-old girl, who withdrew from professional football last month, claims abuse of it began when she was in Young Matilda's 17-year-old group: “Have I been sexually harassed? Yeah. Have I been psychologically destroyed? Yeah? Shocked? Yeah. Have I seen things that made me sick? Yes” In the article on “Daily Telegraph”, the recently retired player Rhali Dobson also confirmed this toxic culture.
The FA is in the process of developing an independent investigation of such claims. Its chief executive, James Johnson, said it was “shaken by the nature of the charges made by De Vanna and Dobson. We must admit that at the center of this we have two players who have shown great courage to speak and share their personal experiences.
I fast @mPinoe But I have gotten hurt.
-Weomen protesting women who abuse women.
-Players protesting Senior Players who busy young players.

The Australian Football Federation has a zero tolerance approach to any behavior that violates the standards and values expected by people involved in our game and community. Regarding Lisa De Vanna, an Australian football legend, we are serious and committed to deepening the investigation and understanding what it is about.
I can say that we met Lisa last week and, although it's not appropriate to discuss the details of the conversation, she did not establish any of the specific claims made publicly. We are committed to deepening the investigation of the charges and implementation of appropriate processes to ensure that Lisa and Rhali have the necessary support in this difficult time”.
De Vanna, who won 150 matches with Mathilda's team, spoke after the US Women's National Football League postponed the matches last weekend, as a result of sexual charges against North Carolina Courage coach Paul Riley, claims he denied.
