Kosovo's boxing team was not even allowed to enter Serbia today to participate in the World Boxing Championship, which tonight starts in Belgrade.
The team attempted to cross the border in Merdara, but after two hours of waiting at the border and detailed car inspection and clothing, Serbian police took the order from the government of Serbia not to allow entry into Serbia, the Kosovo Olympic Committee reports, Periscopi broadcast.
The boxing team left for the third time towards Serbia, this time following the insistence of the International Olympic Committee and the ABA, with which KOK leaders, President Ismet Krasniqi and Secretary General Besim Aliti are in constant contact.
The KOK strongly condemns the government's action of Serbia until it calls for the International Olympic Committee and other relevant bodies to take measures against Serbia. /Periscope. com/
