The midfielder of Bournemouth and Wales, David Brooks, has found himself diagnosed with Hodkin Lymphoman of phase two.
The 24-year-old, who was part of Bournemouth from 2018 when he was transferred from Sheffield, withdrew from gathering with the National recently after being confirmed with the disease.
Hodgkin Lumphoma is the cancer that develops in the lymphatic system, part of the body's immune system, and most of the time it's irritating young people in the early 20s, or much older people over the age of 70, broadcast Periscope.
Brooks said: ” This is a difficult message for me to write.
I'm diagnosed with phase II Hodkin Lymphoma and will start treatment next week.
Even though this has come as a shock to myself and my family, the prognosis is positive and I am convinced that I will be completely healed and return to play as soon as possible.
I would like to express my appreciation for doctors, nurses, consultants and staff treating me for their professionalism, warmth and understanding during this period.
I want to thank everyone at the Wells Football Association because without their medical team's quick attention we may not have discovered the disease.
I would also like to thank AFC Bournemouth for all their support and assistance last week.
“Although I appreciate that there will be attention and interest from the media, I would like to ask that my privacy be respected in the coming months and that I will share updates on my progress when I am able to do so.
Over time, thank you all for your support messages means so much and will continue to do so in the coming months.
I expect to see you all again and play the sport I love very soon.” /Periscope. com/
