The French defender was involved in France's team for the finals of the League of Nations and contributed to Les Blues' victory with one goal and one assisting in two matches.
His associate and Juventus midfielder, Adrieen Rabiot, was also tested positive with COVID-19 last week, following France's semifinal against Belgium in Turin.
According to reports in France, Rabbito is one of the players who refused to be vaccinated, and it is unclear whether Theo was vaccinated or not COVID.
Theo, 24, scored a goal and recorded three assets in nine presentations in all the Rossons so far this season.
His contract in San Siro expires in June 2024, but according to numerous reports in Italy, the Reds are willing to extend his stay at the club, giving him a salary increase.
