The Italian coach will take the lead in the team, with the aim of restoring it to the right shape, to compete at Premier League, continues Periscopi.
Sandy signed a two-year contract with a club owned by the Pozzo family.
The coach turns 70 years later this month and was free at the market after leaving Sampdoria during the summer.
