The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted to the ban Serbia has made to Kosovo boxers on the Kosovo-Serbia border, the Express newspaper reports.
Through a Twitter post, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that after this event, the Kosovo government, together with allies, is working hard to remove Serbia's illegal barricades at the world championship.
“After the national Kosovo boxing team has been blocked illegally by Serbia on the border between Kosovo and Serbia, the government and the Allies are working hard to remove illegal barricades against the fair race at the” World Championships, said in the post.
The Kosovo boxing team has not been allowed to enter Serbia to participate in the World Boxing Championship, from 24 October to 6 November 2021, held in Belgrade, Serbia. The boxing expedition was launched in the early hours of the morning to cross the border in Koncul, but despite multihour expectations, Serbian police have not allowed their entry, which has led the boxing expedition back to Pristina.
