Leposaviqi, Zvecan: Police action continues, tensions in Zvecan

Kosovo police today in the early morning hours have launched an operation against smuggled goods.

The event is currently under way in Zvecan, where the situation reportedly is tense as it was earlier in northern Mitrovica.

Serbian citizens have blocked roads in this municipality, meanwhile, police are using tear gas.

Police have also been attacked during the action in northern Mitrovica.

Otherwise, Kosovo police have launched an operation today in several different locations, including four Kosovo regions such as Pristina, Peja, Mitrovica South and Northern Mitrovica, where the smuggling network has been hit.

Kosovo's “Police, in the continuation of the strategic targets for preventing criminal acts, namely the uncompetitive struggle against smuggling of goods, today in the early morning hours has begun implementing a police operation that included several different locations, including four Kosovo regions such as Pristina, Peja, Mitrovica Jugu and Mitrovica North”, the report said.
