Kosovo Olympic Committee Chairman Ismet Krasniqi stressed that in the local sport, extraordinary roles are playing girls and women who have guaranteed the country important medals. He has mentioned medals won by the Distria Krasniai and Nora Gjakova, which were decorated with gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and said women are the chief story of Kosovo's sports successes.
Krasniqi: Women are the chief mention of sports successes
Kosovo's “Suxessets of sports and mainly of the Kosovo Olympic Committee have major words for women who are raising our flag to the highest sports pedestal. Just yesterday, three months ago, the Kosovo anthem was launched at the 2020 Olympic Games after International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bah handed the gold medal to our heroin Nora Gjakova. Just two days earlier, Distria Krasniqi had fulfilled her dream. Nora and Distria follow the path of legend Majlinda Kelmendi whose successes have made us, make us, and make us proud”, Krasniqi stressed.
While, Paralympic Committee head Nyomza Emni stressed that such workers are very important in bringing the message needed for the greater empowerment and involvement of girls and women in sports. She stressed that a large number of women are engaged in the institution she heads.
Furthermore, Amy made it known that they are working hard for the Kosovo Paralympic Committee to be admitted to the International Paralympic Committee, and that this is expected to be realised soon.
Amy: Soon to Join International Paralympic Committee
I just came from France with a lot of good news. I've met with my counterpart Mrs. Paralympic Committee president there that I have received not only moral support but also with many agreements that will soon be public for opinion. I consider this very important workman and women's sports commission not only today but also for all the commitments you're making to empower girls yesterday in sports”, Amy said.
On this occasion Emini indicated that the Koaova Paralympic Committee is expected to be admitted to the International Paralympic Committee very soon.
For her experience as a girl at the Olympic Games, boxer Donjeta Sadiku spoke of representing Kosovo there. She said participating in these activities by representing Kosovo is an extraordinary feeling.
Sadiku: It was a special feeling to represent Kosovo at the Olympic Games
I've been participating in many races, but at the Olympics it's been a very different experience. I've already said it was an experience I can't describe. I thought it would be like the European and the World Cup, but the emotions were completely different, and the ring seemed so different to me that I had a lot of emotions during the mecca. Although I've had a injury but I haven't felt it at all.” Donjeta Sadiku stressed.
Representatives of women from various Kosovo sports federations, such as boxing, tennis, skiing, but also professors and athletes from various sports fields, participated in this worker.
