FSHF's response to unseemly scenes during Albania match

The Albanian Football Federation has issued a statement for media concerning the events of the Albania match, Poland.

The F.F.F.F. has suggested that such scenes do not favour nationals or anyone else.

On Tuesday we were able to enjoy a match that did not have the outcome that we all would like to have. All Albanians were eyed by our national boys, who have developed an excellent edition so far. The result was not in our favor, but we gave everything in the playing field. The lot of luck and shortages we had toward Poland are factors we should not forget at any moment. Football has all the results in it, but we should be proud of this team, which has given us extraordinary emotions. Coach Reja and the entire team must also be proud of what they have done so far and continue working to advance the launched project to make the goals and wishes of all Albanians come back to the European Championship and participate in a World Championship reality.

The match also exposed some serious problems, which need to be solved and addressed as soon as possible. Incidents that do not honor us, Albania and its wonderful fans.

Albanian Football Federation has been working with U for months EFA in terms of important activity in stadium security, even within the context of the Conference League final that we will host on May 25, 2022. After the events in the match with Poland, the event becomes even more urgent so that all actors and factors involved in such issues can do our best to organize a match.

One thing is very clear: We don't have violent fans, we don't have a history of problematic fans, but the excellent behavior and support our fans give in the games and outside the field has become a thing of pride for us.

Yesterday's events are the result of a constant provocation, and a very aggressive behaviour by Polish fans who have been hitting our fans for nearly two hours in two Tribs. Polish fans are known for such behaviour, and for days all authorities involved in the match have done their best to prevent more serious events.

We must not forget that at the same hour as our match at “Air Albania” Stadium, Polish fans have been in Wembley at the England-Hungari match and have had numerous clashes with local fans and local police. We do not shy away from our responsibilities, we know them, but we must always be close to the truth, because it alone serves us to move forward. At no moment, no one should point the charge finger and plead guilty, but together we must reflect and improve our work.

We first, as well as all other actors who have responsibility for organizing this level. We realize that the more we grow and become competitive, the more we are entrusted with organizing prestigious European activities, the more difficult it becomes to organize perfection. That is why we have started working together with relevant authorities to increase our organisational capacities.
