After marking a case of bird flu “Avian Influenza” in Podujevo's Sequira, the Food and Veterinary Agency has taken several measures.
According to an announcement, it has become known that the decision entered into force today and will be implemented throughout Kosovo's territory.
These are all measures:
I. General measures:
A) Banning the movement of birds from farms, and trading them on the cattle market;
b) Disinfecting objects and surrounding areas where there is an outbreak of disease;
c) Determining protected areas (3km) and tracking disease (10 km);
d) Reports of suspicious cases of soul disease;
e) Visit of farms suspected of veterinarian ambulances in co-ordination with veterinarian inspectors, taking samples and taking them to the lab.

f) Determine location and burying dead birds.
2 / 1 Except for the first point of this decision, the movement of birds from farms free of this disease in slaughter licensed only with the consent of the veterinarian inspector of the Food and Veterinary Agency.
3 / 1 All market managers have been ordered since the moment of its entry into force to suspend the work of accepting birds in their spaces.
6 / 1 All municipalities, Kosovo Police, in co-ordination and co-operation with AUV are committed to making oversight of the implementation of the measures.
