The end of an era in tennis is drawing ever closer. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are approaching retirement.
This is highlighted even more after their absence in Indiana Wells, the next Masters to take place this year. And this will be the first time since 2000 that neither of the three takes part in a Masters,
On October 7th, it will begin in America's Masters (10000 points) of Indian Wells, one of the most important in the world.
The particular part of this tournament is that for the first time in 21 years, on a Masters tour will not be one of the world's top 3 tennis players: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, known differently as “Big 3”.
Since 2000, at least one of these three tennis players has participated in Masters' tournaments, and this time the three tennis players will be absent.
Kind of strange that fact, but it shows these tennis players are toward the end of their career. Nadal and Federer have claimed they will return next year, while Djokovic is not playing Indian Wells.
These three tennis players have won 13 of Indian Wells' last 16 editions (5 times Djokovic's Federer and 3 times Nadal). This lack enables other tennis players “big” to target the trophy and 1,000 points given to the winner to descend from the Djokovic throne. /Periscopi/
