Part of the long communique:
FIFA's proposed plans to hold World Cup tournaments for both men and women every two years will have extremely harmful sports, economic, social and many others that will radically change the course and development of women's game. The rapid nature of the process (until now) very selective consultation and accepted proposals all but have not allowed a careful reflection on what is in the best interest of women's football development or adequate assessment of the possible irreversible consequences such changes can bring.
The symbiotic relationship between all parts of world football allows professional, amateur and base football in the clubs of men and women and national teams to flourish in their right requires detailed opinion and considered before any final decision on the future of football is reached. International Men and Women Fights Calendar (IMC/WIMC). So far this process has not yet occurred.
To be clear, this is in no way about protecting Europe's position, not even a national team issue against club football. Our reserves focus on our desire for a balanced and inclusive global development that gives women and girls the best conditions for playing the most loving game at all levels and in every society. No one has more knowledge and understanding of this complexity than those who feed the game on a daily basis -- clubs, leagues, players and trainers -- except for leading bodies in the confederation, national and regional level.
