The French Superleague has announced it will reduce the number of teams in the league.
There are currently 20 teams competing in France's League 1.
However, this number will be reduced thus has decided the French Football Federation.
It has been decided that in the 2022/23 season four teams will drop in second league, and that two more will be promoted in League 1, leading from the 2023/24 edition to compete with 18 teams.
