Dean was the judge inside the VAR room in Southampton's 3-1 defeat at Istanbul Bridge on October 2, Periscope broadcast.
He advised Judge Martin Atkinson to watch the monitor for potential red card against James Ward-Prove for an intervention in Jorginho.
Atkinson did this and then devalued the future to expel Saints' captain in red.
Hasenhtl was ridiculed at the press conference at Zoom then: ”E, when Mike Dean is VAR, he'll send the judge to see him and then it was okay for me, I think. He gave it.
But this is his job, I don't mean it's his fault because I haven't seen him yet...”
Austria has now been hit with the prospect of a fine for those words, and the club has until Tuesday to appeal, even though it seems unlikely it will. /Periscope. com/
