Andorra Stadium is involved in flames, in doubt facing England

The qualifying clash of England and Qatar 2022 with Andorra in Qatar 2022 has been questioned after the latter's national stadium caught fire just over 24 hours from its start.

The Éstadi Nacional was about to wait as a host duel between the Three Lions at their stadium.

But the match now appears to be threatened after a fire broke out at the scene Friday afternoon.

Shortly after teams held their press conferences before their meeting Saturday, the stadium was photographed with large flames.

The fire, apparently limited to a single side of the field, seemed to have caught the area monitor that was commonly used for the decisions of video aid judges.

) Sky Sports News took the scenes live after broadcasting a preliminary view of the game from the stadium when the fire broke out, and since then they have reported that firefighters have put it under control.

In view of the proximity of the Estad Nacional field fire, it remains to be seen whether England's game will be able to develop as planned.

With both sides ready to play further matches before the end of the October international holiday, it is unlikely to be possible to re-organised the match before November.

Three Lions are currently invincible in Group I and regular timeless since losing Belgium last November are seeking to further strengthen their position in the Qatar race next year.
