YouTube deleted a video on former US President Donald Trump's channel because it violated the rules of the site and, as a result, the platform suspended the Trump channel for seven days.

Now he is suspended and will not be allowed to publish new videos, minimum for seven days, according to YouTube's statement.

Trump faces charges of inciting violence and supporting the crowd in the Capitol on January 6th. On Tuesday, the president insisted he bore no responsibility for the attack, which led to the death of five people.

The move taken by YouTube comes after Twitter last Friday suspended Trump's account. Trump Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other platforms have also been suspended indefinitely.
