While he says that it cannot be predicted in this regard, he is convinced that the discovery of vaccines will enable him to manage this situation.
Now even world scientists are not having the guts to make predictions about the further performance of this pandemic. It's good luck that now we have the vaccine in use and it's starting to apply in some countries and we expect Kosovo to take it quickly and we expect the vaccine to lower the trend of this pandemic”.
However, since we don't have the vaccine in use and we have the virus present we only have to implement the measures. So it may be expected that we will again have such stages of increasing the number of patients, but this will depend on the application of the vaccine in our country”.
On the other hand, he also spoke of measures taken in the management of pandemic, where he mentioned increased beds and oxygen security.
“We have since July and August, when faced the second influx of large numbers of patients made identification of spaces that we could now use in November and December. So we made a sea plan, and we only managed to add this bed capacity to the QKUUK for 200 beds to lock in central oxygen”.
We reinforced the oxygen system, provided oxygen and identified about 90 beds and 100 other beds. The most busy during this time were large hospitals, especially those of Prizren, Gjakova and Peja. Depending on the need, we'll add” beds.
Krasniqi added that QKUK has provided additional medical equipment, where tests can be made to diagnose breast cancer.
Also, according to him, a service offered for the first time at QKUK is Brahirapy, which is not even found in private clinics in Kosovo.
He said that during the year 2021, additional staff will begin.
We have originally prioritized activities that we will take, like oxygen supply, complete reorganization of health staff to reorganize doctors, nurses and other support services in the function of treating patients with Ovid-19 and also in taking action to provide the most necessary medical supplies to treat patients with Ovid. We've provided additional medical equipment and can now become breast cancer diagnostics since early stages of cancer”.
