In recent days, former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has made a strong statement saying that if Kosovo does not join the EU, he will seek a referendum on joining Albania.
This statement by his party chief, Minister Selim Selimi, considers it a just thing and should be done if Europe does not accept and after meeting the conditions.
This is a completely legitimate statement, as for 20 years we have been denied on our way to the European Union. We have met the conditions and deserve membership. After this rejection is legitimate and referendum”, says Balkan Talks Justice Minister.
Following that statement, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucic, who thinks with Kurti prime minister and Haradinaj president, Kosovo is dangerous for Europe and the world. But that Vucic claim is rejected by Mr. Selimi, who says it is not Kosovo, but Serbia is the danger for Europe and the world.
“There is no danger Kurti prime minister and Haradinaj president, but Vucic, which is Russia's satellite,” Mr. Selimi said.
He did not reject even the post-election coalition with Vetevendosje. During the interview at “Balkan Talks”, Kosovo's justice minister spoke of former KLA leaders in The Hague and the support he has offered the institution he is running.
We believe in justice that it was and will be here on our side. The ministry has signed guidelines for protection against them, families and compensation for those declared innocent”, says AAK chairmanship member.
Given the fact that Mr. Selimi is from the Presevo Valley, journalist Franco Egro took advantage of the opportunity to ask him personally what position he has on the Albanian issue there, for this the minister replied: “when we were in dialogue the Valley issue we have laid there for their rights. We do not negotiate our sovereignty”, said Mr. Selimi.
