The match was cold with few occasions, both teams being cautious.
One record case was in the 29th minute, when Luke Shaw made a strong intervention against a rival, but after the VAR revision, he was punished with yellow cards.
In the 37th minute, it was Harry Maguire who scored, but the goal was annulled after the defender had caused a penalty blow.
The first part was closed without other occasions.

Even the second half, as seen on a few occasions and cautiously on both sides.
The goal came only in the 71st minute, when Paul Pogba, with a strong blow, scored 1-0.

At the end of the match there was another record case of penalty for Burnley, but that after watching the VAR was not awarded.
Manchester United after this victory has now 36 points and is leader of the Premier League, with three points more than Liverpool.
