The Topchis had tried to extend Mustafi's contract last summer, with the German deal ending on June 30th this year.
28-year-old Mustaf has not played since Boxing Day and his representatives have considered opportunities to ensure his departure this month, in the same way that Mesut Ozil and Socratis Papastatopoulos have left the club in recent days.
There is interest in clubs throughout Europe, but the current financial climate makes it very difficult for any team to afford to pay a transfer fee for Mustafi, who arrived from Valencia for a 35 million pounds fee in 2016.
For this reason, Mustafi and Arsenal are negotiating to break the contract six months early.
