The German and European champion was eliminated from the cup after the shocking defeat in the second round by the second-class team, Holstein Kiel, on Wednesday.
Bayerni had not been eliminated from Germany's Cup so early since 2000/01.
Even though Bayerni emerged twice thanks to goals by Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane, the match ended equal to 2:2 after 90 minutes, and Kiel defeated 6:5 the Bundesligla champion in the penalty.
After the match, Mueller was upset by German broadcaster ARD's journalist Valeska Homburg, who laughed at the attacker about his mood in Bayerni's shed after he lost.
Mueller replied in anger: “What do you mean? Are you laughing right now?
Homburg tried to clarify himself by saying he wasn't laughing at Bayerni, but Mueller interrupted: “Of course he laughed”
Mueller added: Of course the team's mood is as expected in this case. We're disappointed, of course, you can imagine. We're not in a good mood”
