Another achievements of Robert Leandowski. FIFA's “Player of 2020” seems to know no boundaries. Today, in the match Bayerni won 2-1 over Fraiburg, disrupting the series of five rival victories, the Polish assailant scored his 21st goal in the championship, setting a new record in Bundesliga.
At the end of half the season (Baerni is a winter champion), no one had scored so many goals (21). The previous record, and it couldn't be any different, belonged to another Bayern legend, Gerd Mueller, who had scored 20 goals in 17 matches at the 1968-69 season championship.
Now Lewandoski will try to break another Mueller record, that of the number of goals scored in a single edition in Bundesliga. World champion in 1974, known as “der Bomber”, scored 40 goals in 1971-72 (Meller also won the European Championship with Germany).
