For the second consecutive edition of the Libertadores Cup will be held with a meeting and the privilege of hosting the competition's 61st season defining match of the most important competition of the clubs of the CONMEBOL Confederacy will have the famous Maracana stadium.
The two final clubs have already been accommodated in Rio de Janeiro and are referring to two Brazilian teams such as Palmiras and Santos. This is the fourth case in the history of this event when two clubs from the same country manage to qualify for the final meeting of the Libertadores Cup.
In 2005 and 2006, two consecutive finals have been registered all-brasian, Sao Paolo Paolo PaoloAletico Paranaense and International alike, respectively. Sao Paolo, but it's still about facing the incoming system, and in 2018 the two famous clubs of Argentina River Place and Boca Juniors, who divided “Superclassico” with two games in Bombay and Santiago Bernabeu.
In the last 13 editions, they have named it at the Cup Libertadores with 12 different clubs and the only team that has triumphed twice since 2007 is River Plate, however things have changed and now is the time of the Brazilian teams.
So with all of Porto Alegres and the Flamengo of Rio De Janeiro this will be the 3rd trophy in the last four editions for the clubs of this country and thus Brazil will collect for the last 20 most coveted cup in this part of Latin America, while Argentina remains at a total of 25 cups. A very special competition that only 10 countries are participating in, however, due to their geographic position, Brazil was the most privileged country, considering that at the beginning it started the adventure full of eight clubs from this country. In the Santos semifinal, Boca Juniors did not have a lot of history, and after drawing with unspoiled nets in the White Aires Aires closed accounts soon after only 5150 games at their stadium, Vila Belmiro. In contrast, events turned out at River Place Palmiras. “Verdao” destroyed six times the Libertadores Cup champions and the winners of the year 2018 with a clear 3-0 victory inside the Avelaneda, however, at the challenge of returning to the Italian Arena, or Allianz Parque, as Palmeira's house is otherwise called “los Millonarios<3> really went very close to the great overthrow, as the team led by Marcelo Gallardo went to the interval with 2-0.
Despite the big disadvantage of the first match in the City of São Paulo River dominated the entire return meeting and as if numerous injustices were not enough by local judges, there were also severe doses of luck in the finals with the overall score of 3-2 qualified precisely to the team headed by Portuguese Abel Ferreira, who has led the age of Lisbon Sporting, as well as the Thessaloniki Sports team and PAOK. The grand finale was initially scheduled on the calendar on November 21st, however, in delaying matches significantly influenced precisely the body's pandemic. The club, which will win the meeting in Rio de Janeiro, will directly qualify for the stage of the upcoming Libertadorre Cup edition, but the winning team will also be travelling to the Middle East, more accurately to Qatar, where on February 7th, it will challenge the semi-final phase of the World Cup for Clebe team that will emerge from the Tigress justlyWolsan pair.
Both teams are understandably really well known, but most of all, it's about a wild den of São Paulo State. Due to fatigue, the dedication to the Libertadores Cup and the very busy championship calendar both teams have lost considerable ground in the A Brazil A series. Palmeiras plays a more European style and has a highly talented team, with a very young average age, while on the other hand, the Cuca team stands out for its typical Brazilian physical game. Greens have won only 1 out of the last 6 challenges in all competitions, while Santos will be presented in the final after three consecutive losses in the championship. As a result, in the A Brazil A's series when only 6 weeks to play Palmeirasi is positioned in fifth place, 10 points from the leading International, while Santos ranks 10th, with 7 points short of “verdao”. Both the greens and the whites won their groups with five wins, and only one draw, respectively.
The only defeat in this Libertadorre Cup edition of the Alvinegro team has suffered at Vila Belmiro, in the 1/8th phase, with the score of 1-0 from the Ecuadoran League Deportiva University of Quito, while on the other side disfata 2-0 in the return semifinal with River represents the only loss of Palmyras in this edition. Palmeira's team is considered the favourite at this meeting, in addition to the formation of Abel Ferreira has thus qualified for the finals of Brazil's Cup, where “Palestra” will transfer forces in two matches with the coming systems of Porto Alegres' Greece. At Santos has seen the young Brazilian-aged attacker, 19-year-old Caio Jorge, with 5 goals, while Palmeiras, is also proud of the two Ronald Louis Adriano. The barbeques who have triumphed for the last time in 2011, just in the time they played Neymar, have won 3 out of 4 finals in this competition, while the greens have these statistics in the universe, as Palmeiras has won only 1 of the 4 finals held in this activity and the only verdao success has secured in 1999, when the Junior, Alex, or Roque Junior played.
In their recent challenges, they dominate the draw, 2 in 3 last meetings. In the championship at the last edition of Palmeirasi hexed off 2-2, two months ago, after winning 2-1 at home the duel of the first phase. The Greens have lost only 1 out of 8 last confrontations between them, although for the sake of truth half of these matches ended in a tie. The grand finale will be played at Rio's Maracana Stadium at 9: 00 p.m. and will be led by 45-year-old Argentian Patrizio Loustau, and if won by Santos then the whites would also pride themselves as the most successful Brazilian football club in the Libertadore Cup with 4 trophys. / SS/
