Former Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci has spoken about the Special Court's announcement of the indictment against former president Hashim Thaci.
Former Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci has said the announcement issued by the Special Prosecutor for handing over the indictment to Hashim Thaci has been a clear political act, since according to PDK official it was issued at the time Thaci was headed towards Washington for the meeting initiated by the Trump administration.

The Special Prosecutor's announcement was issued on June 24th last year.
“on April 24, 2020, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) presented Kosovo Specialised Chambers (DHSK) with a ten-point indictment for consideration by the Court, where Hashim T HACI, Kadri V ESEL and others are charged with a variety of crimes against humanity and war crimes, including unlawful murder, forced extinction of persons, persecution, and torture. Hashim T allegedly in Aktakuza HACI, Kadri V ESEL and other suspects have been prosecuted for approximately 100 illegal killings. The crimes presented in Aktakuza include hundreds of identified Albanian, Serbian and Roma victims of Kosovo and political opponents.
The act is just a criminal indictment, which is the result of a long investigation and proves the SPS's commitment that it can prove all charges against reasonable suspicion. A judge of preliminary procedure of The DHSK is reviewing the Actakuza to decide whether to confirm the charges.
Specialised Prosecutor deems it necessary to issue this public statement on charges, due to Hashim T's repeated efforts HACIT and Kadri V ESSELIL to prevent and sabotage the work of the DHSK. It's believed that Mr. T HACI and Mr. V ESEL has secretly undertaken a campaign to abolish the law that established the Court and otherwise prevented the work of the Court in an attempt to evade justice, through these actions, Mr. T HACI and Mr. V ESEL has put their own interests above the victims of their crimes, rule of law and the people of Kosovo”, the announcement said.
