Scientists from South Korea believe they have come up with a good way to repair broken telephone windows. They presented their innovative solution, which includes lubricating the glass with free oil.
The research project, published in Compose Part B: Engineering, was directed by Dr. Jong-Chae Jung, head of the Advanced Material Centre at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology.
Their project included the linen seed oil, and the scientific team said they could repair cracks when they appeared through this oil. The team claims their new revolutionary procedure could repair 95% of all cracks and that it could take place within 20 minutes.
It may usually take hours, but scientists have been able to speed up the whole process using higher temperatures and UV light.
