Did Cristiano Ronaldo really break the record for the best goalist in football history?

Cristiano Ronaldo is now the best goal scorer of all time, according to many newspapers, since he scored the 760th career goal in the victory of Juventu 2.0 against Naples in the Supercup final of Italy. But is it true? Ronaldo scored five goals for Lisbon Sports, 118 for Manchester United, [...]

Ronaldo has scored five goals for the Lisbon Sporting, 118 for Manchester United, 450 for Real Madrid, 85 for Juventu, and 102 for Portugal, so there is no doubt about it.

Statistics Fund Data Rec. Sports. Scoczer (RSSSF)They say Joseph Bican is the best goal scorer of all time (not including players who have never played high level) with 805 goals in his career (from 530 matches), while Romario and Pele have them from 772 and 767, respectively.

Bican, who died in 2001, played for five clubs including Rapid Vienna and Slavia Prague, as well as Austria and Czechoslovakia, in his 1931 - until 1955 career.

But among those 805 goals, he scored 27 for Rapid's reserve team and amateur teams, as well as goals he had scored in friendly matches with the nationals.

If we take those goals off, Bican stands at 759 goals in 495 matches. Well maybe, because RSSF says some data is partly missing in the second category of Czech football in 1952.

But Pele and Romario? Here again, there are disagreements about the total number of their goals since both Brazilian attackers claim they have scored more than 1,000 goals.

Recently, Lionel Messi of Barcelona broke Peles' record with 643 goals for a single club, but Santos reacted by saying the goals Pele had scored at the club's fanele in friendly matches account and that he had scored 1091 goals for the Brazilian club.

In Peles' biography in his official account at the Instagram writes “the best performer of all time (1.283)”.

But if we take the goals off in friendly and non-official matches (including the military team in 1959), then Pele will be left at 757 goals for Santos, Brazil and New York Cosmo.

Romerio celebrated the 1,000th goal in 2007, but he also calculated the goals for youth teams, those in friendly matches and farewell matches.

Brazilian striker accounts for 745 goals during his career in South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, even though the total number of his goals differs from the newspaper.

So to answer the question, maybe Ronaldo is the best goalist of all time. Maybe. Possibly. It's not known for sure, actually.

We know that Messi remains 41 goals behind him, having scored 719 goals for Barcelona and Argentina in an era where statistics are more officially recorded.

So we're going to figure out which of them is going to complete their career with more goals
