Kane penalty ban required

Harry Kane's tactics during the penalty execution have sparked debate following England's 4-2 win over Croatia at the 2026 World, with some football figures calling for FIFA to stop this approach.
The British captain achieved two goals in the success of Thomas Tuchel's team, but the most controversial moment came in the 12th minute. Kane initially lost the penalty after his crackdown was hosted by Dominic Livakoviq, but VAR found that the Croatian goalkeeper had stepped out of the line before the execution and the referee ordered the replay of the penalty.
In the second attempt, Baiern Munichu's attacker did not fall short of England's supremacy.
After the match, Ghana and Milan's former striker, Kevin-Prince Boateng, criticised Kane's style, which uses small stops during the pre-striking run.
This should be stopped”, Boateng said of CBS, referring to the penalty technique the English captain uses.
According to FIFA rules, the goalkeeper should have at least one leg on or on the gate line when the ball is hit.
Kane himself admitted to studying earlier the way Livakoviqi reacts to the penalty.
When I saw the videos, I noticed that he moves often early. I knew that if I used that little stop during the run, he could get off the line. I was about 80 percent sure that he had moved prematurely”, Kane told BBC Sports.
The English attacker added that after the repeat, he changed little bit of the shock technique and that the pre-game analysis worked.
In addition to Kane's two goals, England won thanks to the realisations of Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rasford, perfectly embarking on the adventure in Group L.
After the match, Kane also praised Thomas Tuchel's influence in resting between the two parts.
The coach told us that if we lost, at least we could do it our way. In the second part, we came out with much higher intensity and Croatia couldn't afford us. This is our greatest force,”, the English captain declared.
England will play its next match on June 23rd against Ghana, as it aims to continue the march towards the global preliminary phase./ Periscope.
